About custom domains

Choose your domain

The $99 yearly custom-domain service gives you two options:

• **Let StudioFull manage it.** Search available standard `.com` names and confirm the registrant details. StudioFull registers the domain for one year, renews it while your service remains active, connects it, and secures it. There is no separate domain bill. Premium domains must be purchased elsewhere before you connect them.
• **Use a domain you already own.** Keep the domain registered with your current provider and add only the DNS records StudioFull asks for. Never share your registrar password, API token, or transfer code.

Keep your stable StudioFull website address available while a custom domain is being set up.

Let StudioFull set it up

1. Publish your StudioFull website and open **Plan and billing → Manage domain**.
2. Search for the name you want and choose an included `.com`.
3. Confirm the domain name, registrant details, and management authorization.
4. Follow the three setup steps: registration, secure connection, and ready.

StudioFull handles DNS and HTTPS for a managed domain. Do not add DNS records or retry a purchase if setup pauses. The only registrar action StudioFull may ask you to take is opening a registrant-email verification message and following its link. Contact Support for any other setup problem.

Connect a domain you already own

1. Enter a root domain such as `example.com`, or a subdomain such as `lessons.example.com`.
2. At your domain provider, add the records listed under **DNS changes needed**. Replace only conflicting A, AAAA, or CNAME website records for those hostnames. Keep mail and unrelated records.
3. Choose **Check again** while StudioFull confirms the changes.
4. Use **Advanced DNS details** only when you need to review every requested record, including ones already found.

For a root domain, StudioFull also secures its `www` address and redirects it permanently to the root domain. A subdomain does not get an additional `www` address. DNS and certificates can take several minutes. Do not share the new address until it says **Ready**.

Replace or disconnect

A replacement keeps the current domain live until the new one is fully ready. You must type the current domain to confirm. Disconnecting stops StudioFull from serving the domain immediately. If StudioFull manages the registration, contact Support to transfer it away. If you brought your own domain, restore or remove only the DNS records used for StudioFull.
